About Yogi Diesel

Yogi Diesel is a flavorful hybrid that leans toward the sativa end of the spectrum. This potent strain is a cross between staple Sour Diesel and Northern Lights #5. It appears to be more influenced by its former parent strain, though, with a strong gasoline-tinged odor and long-lasting mental effects. It’s sure to impress both cannabis newbies and veterans alike, with THC levels measured at between 19% and 25%.

Yogi Diesel’s flowers set themselves apart with an unusually large and chunky formation. Despite their sativa lineage, these thick buds have a decidedly indica structure, appearing compact and dense. The small leaves are mossy green and are wound through with rust-colored pistils. Finally, translucent white (and sometimes amber) trichomes coat the bud’s visible surfaces, making them very difficult to break up without a quality grinder.

The unmistakable scent of sickly-sweet diesel fumes wafts up from cured flowers of Yogi Diesel. A second whiff hints at some lemony notes blooming underneath. Grinding up the buds, meanwhile, gives off the woody odor of pine. Like Sour Diesel, Yogi Diesel’s pungency makes it smoke harsh and difficult to ingest. On the exhale, though, the pine and citrus flavors are more distinct, giving this bud a pleasant finish.

Yogi Diesel tends to hit the smoker right away, possibly taking effect before they’ve even exhaled its thick, eye-watering smoke. A sudden head rush may result in odd sensations like a slight pressure in the temples or an increase in salivation. Once these side effects subside, though, smokers are shot into a new orbit of cerebral intensity, becoming absorbed by ideas or concepts that might not otherwise interest them. This “in the zone” feeling can be applied with some success to complicated and detailed analytical tasks; it can also make boring activities like cleaning or organizing significantly more enjoyable. For some users, Yogi Diesel may provoke a continuous chain of free association between thoughts, making it a great way to pursue creative, open-ended projects or brainstorming. Even as the high wears on, this strain does not tend to impart any physically weighty or relaxing feelings. Smokers looking to burn off the bud’s energy levels can indulge in some moderate exercise. The strain’s persistent mental stimulation also makes it a fun way to play cards or a board game with some friends. Yogi Diesel’s ability to turn up the volume on internal monologues can make some consumers more talkative, making it a good social lubricant in party settings. In the right circumstances, this strain’s upbeat, engaged vibes are just the thing for banishing stress and gloom and inviting in euphoria and positivity. Because of its high energy levels, Yogi Diesel is best enjoyed during the day, even as a wake-and-bake treat. If consumed before bed, it’s more than likely to keep smokers awake and wired.

Yogi Diesel’s stimulating effects can also be of use to medical cannabis patients. The early cerebral focus that comes with the high’s onset can help those with attention deficit disorders to concentrate on single tasks. Its pleasant euphoria can also temporarily counteract the symptoms of mild to moderate stress and depression. Physically, Yogi Diesel’s anti-inflammatory properties can help take care of everyday irritations like headaches and nausea. The strain may also induce the munchies, serving as an appetite stimulant for those who have lost their hunger to disease or to harsh treatments like chemotherapy. Because of its potential “mindrace,” however, Yogi Diesel is not recommended for patients who are prone to panic or who have a low tolerance for THC.

Unlike Sour Diesel, Yogi Diesel has not yet achieved wide name recognition and seeds of the strain are not available for sale online. Instead, prospective home growers should obtain clippings from mature plants in order to foster identical “clones.” Although there is little information available on best cultivation practices for this specific strain, we know that it can be grown indoors or outdoors in a hot and humid climate. The strain’s sativa roots also suggest that its plants grow tall and branchy and may require some pruning in order to fit in limited indoor grow spaces. Yogi Diesel may flower within 9 to 11 weeks when grown indoors.

Yogi Diesel is as enjoyable when toked alone as it is when shared with friends. For an especially trippy kick, bring it on your next trip through the great outdoors.
