Mission Kush

Mission Kush is a sativa-dominant hybrid created by Washington State-based breeders View Askew Farms. This strain crosses sativa staple Haze with resinous Silver Surfer, yielding a bud that’s both aromatic and potent. With long-lasting, energetic effects, Mission Kush is a great way to enhance anything from outdoor activities to indoor productivity. This strain’s THC content has been measured at between 19% and 24%.

Flowers of Mission Kush have solid, well-formed flowers and large spade-like buds that flare out from the wide base before tapering down into a pointed tip. Their sativa influenced structure have long, feathery leaves that twist away from each other, giving a somewhat fluffy appearance. The leaves are pale seafoam green and are twisted through with several curly orange pistils. Silver Surfer passes on its propensity for high trichome production, leaving these buds coated in translucent resin.

A whiff of the cured flowers will pick up the rich scent of pine and sap, and a closer inspection will detect faint notes of citrus. When these buds are pulled apart or ground up, they can give off more of an herbal, almost medicinal profile which is likely passed on from Haze. These can be propagated as “clones” and can be grown indoors or out, in a semi-humid climate with daytime temperatures in the 70 to 80 degree. Plants follow a sativa growth template, with a branchy structure and an above average stature; indoor growers may need to keep their crops’ height in check with occasional pruning. Mission Kush flowers within 9 to 10 weeks when grown indoors.
