Blues is a famous British strain known for its mysterious origins and even more strange “clone-only” status. This sativa-dominant hybrid also goes by the name Livers and is speculated to be a phenotype of Sensi Seeds’, Skunk #1. With its exact roots left unknown, we can only hope that Underground Originals will give up their secret sooner or later.
Similar to its hypothesized parents, these dark green crystalized nugs are covered in bright orange hairs and sticky orange trichomes and have an overwhelming skunky odor. In addition to its pungency, the scent of this strain is heavy on spice with overtones of fermenting berries and flavors that are much the same. The THC levels fall in the moderate range, at 13% to 16% on average, making this a great choice for a relaxing day without the weight of a stronger bud.

Contrary to its name, the Blues buzz is hardly blue at all. It’s an uplifting high from start to finish and will leave you feeling utterly at ease and blissful. This a great strain for social situations as it will have you feeling quite talkative, bordering on energetic and aroused. As it continues your entire body will become relaxed and your mind will grow calm. This phase lasts for hours, so pull up a comfy chair and settle in. The euphoria hits upon first inhale and lasts throughout the high, so you may start feeling a little artistic at some point.
The long-lasting effects and moderate THC levels make this strain ideal for patients who suffer from depression, bipolar, stress, and other mood disorders that benefit from sativas. Blues has the ability to lift the spirits and smooth out any jagged thoughts. Additionally, because it tends to be slightly sedative, it is perfect for those who suffer from mild insomnia or mild to moderate pain. Strangely, and maybe a bit contradictory, because it does give a push of energy at the start, it is also recommended for patients who struggle with mild cases of chronic fatigue.
Blues is highly recommended for outdoor setups and intermediate to advanced growers as it is an extremely pungent and finicky plant with zero feminized seeds and an undetermined indoor flowering time. The plants will produce a high yield around late September to early October and will grow to a medium height and width.
Even though it is shrouded in mystery, one thing is absolutely certain: this is an enjoyable high if you can get past the funky taste. Some users have reported it is a little too skunky funky for them, but lovers of skunk strains won’t find too much to worry about. Enjoy this one on a day where you have zero plans or at the end of a long workday. Blues is an idyllic day to evening high.
