Imagine walking through a grove of lemon trees listening to your favorite song with the sun kissing your face. That kind of bliss can only really be matched by a carefree toke of your favorite strain. Fire Haze is an extremely potent citrusy, sweet cross between Valley OG Kush and OG Kush that will have you feeling like you’re on another planet with just one hit. Though it may sound exciting for all smokers, this is not a beginner’s bud.
The THC in this strain is fairly moderate at around 20%, however, users will quickly find that that is not at all the baseline indicator of how strong the effects are. This frosty little bud is considered by many to be one of the strongest on the planet. The nugs are strong in lemon zest on both the nose and the tongue and are completely enveloped with the red hairs that give it its fiery name. Some additional flavors include the obvious: kush as well as nuts and tree bark.

Fire Haze is a true sativa – fantastic during the day, not recommended after dinner. This super energetic strain offers effects that are felt most impactfully in the head, giving users a sense of razor-sharp focus and bursts of creativity. This social butterfly strain will have you breaking out of any shell and then demolishing it. With conversation for days and an utterly open mind, Fire Haze will have you feeling on top of the world. Although it is highly energetic, it also provides deep body relaxation and soothes muscle tension with ease.
Tension reduction in both the head and body make Fire Haze a nice strain for treating headaches, sinus pressure, generalized aches and pains, and cramping. Because it is uplifting to the nth degree, you’ll find that symptoms of depression, stress, bipolar, and some mild cases of anxiety will all but melt away. With that being said it is not recommended for those who suffer from PTSD or extreme anxiety as this strain tends to agitate symptoms in those susceptible to suggestion. It also increases the chances of paranoia. Because of its extreme energy, this strain is highly recommended for chronic fatigue.
The flowering time for Fire Haze is around 10 to 11 weeks indoors, making it a bit longer than its indica counterparts. If you were aiming for an outdoor cultivation you can expect a late October to early November harvest with a medium yield. These plants prefer warm and sunny climates (think Mediterranean) and will require an excess of knowledge. If you are anything less than an expert, you may want to rethink trying this one.
One thing to note with Fire Haze is that it has a very hard crash on the comedown. This is one of the many reasons why it is considered an expert strain and not at all for the faint of heart. For those with the experience to enjoy it, it is truly a classic that you should not pass on.
